Privacy is important at SignUp4. In efforts to better protect our clients and our professional community, SignUp4 provides this privacy policy notice explaining our online information practices and the choices than can be made about the means of information collection and utilization. This notice is always easily accessible via our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

The Information We Collect:

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the SignUp4 corporate website located at http://www.signup4.com. Registrations and requests for informational materials are available on several pages throughout the site. The types of personal information collected at these pages are: Name, address, email address, phone number, and conference/event preferences. SignUp4 also collects anonymous web statistics for the purpose of website improvement.

The Way We Use Information:

Our event management software utilizes a secure online web form to collect event attendee preferences as well as travel and enrollment information from for current SignUp4 clients. This information is provided only to the authorized client that has organized the conference or event for use within our event management software. In no way does SignUp4 make use or distribute any attendee data to any third parties.

In connection with Client’s subscription to the SignUp4 Products and enjoyment of the Services, it will be necessary for content provided by Client to become resident on SignUp4’s systems, including details of events, Client trademarks and/or servicemarks, copyrighted material of Client, and other Client information which Client may consider proprietary or otherwise the property of Client (“Client Content”).  SignUp4 acknowledges and agrees that the Client Content shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Client.  Client hereby grants SignUp4 a royalty-free, worldwide, transferable, and non-exclusive license to display, reproduce, transmit and distribute the Client Content solely for the purposes of this Agreement and the Order Forms.  In the event Client believes any of its information is confidential, it is Client’s sole obligation to not provide such information as part of Client Content.

User entered return email addresses are utilized to respond to generated requests. These addresses are not used for any other purpose.

SignUp4 complies with the provisions of the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the Safe Harbor privacy principles governing the transfer of personal data from the European Union as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Said framework is found at: The U.S.- EU & Swiss Safe Harbor Website

Clients are encouraged to register with SignUp4’s web site in order to receive updates on our new products and services. Information submitted on the web site will not be used for this purpose unless you fill out the registration form requesting additional information.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our web site and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our web site, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we never disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Client shall have no ownership or intellectual property rights in any SignUp4 products, documentation, or services. SignUp4 reserves all rights not expressly granted herein. Without limiting the foregoing, all ownership rights in and to the SignUp4 Products, Documentation and Services (and all copies thereof) shall solely vest in and be the property of SignUp4.  No implied license or right of any kind is granted to Client regarding the SignUp4 products, documentation, or services.  Except as expressly provided herein, Client shall not, and shall not allow third parties under its direction or control to reproduce, copy, market, sell, distribute, lease, transfer, translate, modify, adapt, disassemble, decompile or reverse engineer the SignUp4 products, documentation, or services.

Finally, SignUp4 will never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Our Commitment To Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

The following activities are strictly prohibited by SignUp4:

  1. Any violations of the rights of any person or company protected by copyright, trade secret, patent or other intellectual property, or similar laws or regulations, including, but not limited to, the installation or distribution of pirated or any software products that are not appropriately licensed for use by SignUp4 or its associates.

  2. Unauthorized copying of copyright protected material including, but not limited to, digitization and distribution of photographs from magazines, books or other copyrighted sources, copyrighted music, and the installation of any copyrighted software for which SignUp4 or the end user does not have an active license is strictly prohibited.

  3. Exporting software, technical information, encryption software or technology, in violation of international or regional export control laws, is illegal. The appropriate management should be consulted prior to export of any material that is in question.

  4. Introduction of malicious programs into the network or server (e.g., viruses, worms, Trojan horses, e-mail bombs, etc.).

  5. Making fraudulent offers of products, items, or services originating from any SignUp4 account.

  6. Making statements about warranty, expressly or implied, unless it is a part of normal job duties.

  7. Effecting security breaches or disruptions of network communication. Security breaches include, but are not limited to, accessing data of which the user is not an intended recipient or logging onto a server or account that the user is not expressly authorized to access.

  8. Providing information about, or lists of, SignUp4 employees or its associates to parties outside SignUp4.
